History

 OGITSU Corporation, established in 1952, is a trading company specializing in footwear. We design and sell ranges of women's footwear, from elegant shoes to sports gear. In addition to top foreign brands such as et vous andUNITED COLORS OF BENETTON., we have launched into the marketplace licensed products from top domestic brands such as UNTITLED and Private Label and popular original brands such as ing and Pitti as well as various other attractive brands in response to current needs in the market. In the new century, we aspire to define our own OGITSU quality in a corporate spirit of "Goal & Vision."

July. 1970   Osaka Branch opened

July. 1970   Capital increased due to business expansion

July. 1971   New main building completed
Name changed into "OGITSU Corporation"

June. 1976   Tokyo Shoes Distribution Center completed

Oct. 1990   Presented the Governor of Tokyo Award

Jun. 1993   Appointed vice-chairman of the Japan Federation of Shoe-Wholesalers' Organizations

Jun. 1996   Presented the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award

Nov.     Received the Medal with Blue Ribbon

May. 2000   Appointed president of the Tokyo Shoe-Wholesalers' Cooperative

Jan. 2001   Became chairman & CEO of OGITSU Corporation

Oct. 2002   Appointed chairman of the Japan Federation of Shoe-Wholesalers' Organizations

Jun. 2003   Appointed chairman of the Japan Shoe Association

Apr. 2004   Received The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays
